This is the last post here ahead of the elections. The count will take place on Friday 7th May (instead of overnight). I assume most/all of the constituency results will be announced in the afternoon, with the regional results perhaps taking a little bit longer. There are other factors to consider too including turnout, social distancing requirements at counting venues slowing the process down and the number of postal ballots. My guess is I’ll be able to have a Senedd results post on the Saturday (8th May) at the latest, though the Police & Crime Commissioner results aren’t expected until Sunday (9th May). Once the results are out of there way there’ll be the usual post-election analysis.
There’s a final reminder of why I selected these particular parties and links to the manifestos at the top of the post on Health & Social Care.
